About Reading Blurbs

This is mainly a space to unload my thoughts about the books I've read. It's a casual corner, and if fellow book lovers also have opinions to share, please do!  

 

I rate books using the 5 and quarter-star system, so if I really liked a book that deserved a high rating but wasn't quite a 5-star experience, I would give it 4.75 stars.

1 ⭐️ -- Did not enjoy

2 ⭐️ ⭐️ -- Does not always mean a story is necessarily bad, but some big flaws and issues hampered my enjoyment

3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ -- OK/Good, still enjoyable but could be better if I didn't have things to nitpick

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -- Solid writing, highly recommend

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -- Loved it! Added to my favorites because it gave me a unique reading experience

I might add .25, .5, or .75 stars depending on how I feel. I do this because sometimes a solid 2 or 4 star rating doesn't accurately describe my reading experience.

As for books I DNF'd, they won't receive a rating but I'll talk about why I couldn't read on.
